The theme of ISD2018 is Designing Digitalization. The conference focuses on mutual influences between information systems and organizational structures, processes and people and promotes research of methodological issues and ways in which the IS designers and developers are transforming organizations and society through information systems.
A three-day conference focusing on the interplay of approaches in information systems development with organisational aspects and trends in society. Scientists and practitioners are welcome to participate and share their knowledge and expertise.
The ISD2018 Conference provides a forum for research and developments in the field of information systems development. New trends in developing information systems emphasize organizational aspects of their development and social aspects of the final product. The International Conference on Information Systems Development is an academic conference hosted annually in a different location worldwide, where scientists and practitioners are welcomed to participate and share their knowledge and expertise in the field of information systems development. During its history, the conference has focused on different aspects, ranging from methodological, infrastructural or educational challenges in the ISD field, to bridging the gaps between industry, academia and society. However, the mission of the conference has remained the same throughout its time: to research, share and discuss developments and trends in Information Systems and Information Systems Development.
Demanding high quality standards, the organizers and reviewers put the quality of submitted papers over quantity, which has kept the conference size at an intimate level with an average of 80 papers, and where each researcher receives a significant audience.
